After baptisms are requested for a particular date, the church will get back to you to confirm whether or not the date has been accepted. After a date has been accepted, a staff member will get in touch with you to arrange a baptismal preparation class.
A baptismal preparation meeting is required for all parents who have not had a child baptized previously. The preparation is required for both parents. It is recommended but not required for the sponsors to attend. Please submit this form and a copy of the child's birth certificate to the Parish Office two weeks before the baptism to confirm.
Godparent Guidelines:At least one godparent must be Catholic and have received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Please note that only one godparent is required for the Sacrament of Baptism. You cannot have more than two godparents. If you have two godparents, it must be one godfather and one godmother. You cannot have two godparents of the same sex.
A person baptized non-Catholic Christian may participate as a Christian witness to the baptism ONLY in addition to a Catholic godparent.
